Weekly Rides

Every Thursday year round the club has an open one hour session at the Cycle Track (next to the Dome).  No booking required. Just turn up and ride. This session is for members only and is free.

Every Saturday we head out on a longer Level 2 ride. This is typically what a club run ride would look like. Averaging between 17 and 18 mph depending on terrain and typically between 70 and 100 miles. This ride is normally on road bikes but from time to time is done on gravel bikes. The meeting point is normally 9:30 am at Blaxton roundabout but all confirmed each week on the private members' Facebook page and WhatsApp group. This run is for members only.

Weekly Saturday changing rides that run year round. This run started over 40 years ago by riders from Rotherham Wheelers and has evolved over the years to now start in Tickhill before heading out to Retford and back.  The meeting point is the crossroads in the centre of Tickhill. This is a fast paced training ride for expert riders. With that in mind, the group does not wait for anyone who is dropped or suffers a mechanical (once the session starts). Open ride for members and non-members.

Meeting every Sunday at 9:30 am in Gresley Square outside Cast Theatre, our Level 1 ride is perfect for beginners looking for an introduction to club riding, or anyone wanting a steadier social ride. This ride is open to members and prospective members. We always ride to the pace of whoever comes, and no-one is left behind. The ride is normally between 20 and 30 miles in total with a cafe stop mid way through! Each week the run is led by a different ride leader. We often use some smaller lanes or paths on the way out of town but all are suitable for a road bike. Information is posted on our public Facebook page on the Friday before each ride.
