Club Events 2026

Our next YHA trip is a self supported gravel/MTB overnighter to Malham.

We will be leaving Doncaster on Saturday morning heading to Leeds by train before riding to Malham via a mix of small lanes, bridleways and paths.

One of several events to celebration the club's centenary, this Reliability Ride will be a full 100 mile lap around Doncaster. There will be several groups of different levels.

The club is heading to Derby Velodrome on the 29th March for a private coaching session. For anyone who has never tried the track before it is a fantastic opportunity to try. The session will be split into different groups based on ability and experience.

The cost is £50 per person which includes track bike hire and food afterwards.

To celebrate our centenary this year's Danum Trophy will be part of British Cycling's U23 National Road series. The race promises to showcase the best of the future talent of our sport to try to win this prestigious event with many notable riders' names on the winners list.

The event can only run with the help of members who volunteer on the day. Please contact Martin Maltby to volunteer to help.

As we celebrate our 100th year, the Lincoln GP celebrates its 70th edition. The club will proudly have several riders represented in the Elite mens race and as is tradition, the club run will be out to Lincoln to watch the race. Returning late on after the finish. A full day out to support our own riders in most iconic race on the British calendar.

Our next centenary celebration will see us ride from Doncaster to Herten in Germany, which is Doncaster's twinned town. We will take the overnight ferry from Hull on the 3rd June before riding to Herten over the following two days.  Day 3 (6th June) will see us enjoy a rest day in Herten taking in the sights before riding back to Rotterdam for the overnight ferry on the evening of the 8th.

There will be several groups with different ability levels.

Our annual Charlie's Challenge ride  will take place again to celebrate the summer solstice, remember our friend Charlie and raise money for MND South Yorkshire. There are two route options; a 100 km ride or the 100 mile Humber Bridge loop.

The final date is to be confirmed but we will have two rides taking place both finishing at our sponsor Roccos in Tickhill. One route will be the evening changing leaving Blaxton at 6:30 pm and the other will be a steady social from Gresley square leaving at 6 pm.

Our premier event to formally celebrate the club's 100th year serving Doncaster and the wider cycling community. The evening will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel at the racecourse and include a meal, music and special guests.
