This is the first ride level aimed at anyone starting out or returning to cycling after a lay off or injury, beginners, younger riders or anyone who wants a reasonably shorter ride.
Speed of ride will be to the slowest rider, and usually 20-30 miles in distance.
The aim of the ride is to introduce group riding and build confidence and fitness.
The Ride is always aimed at the slowest rider and no one is left behind. We stop for punctures and minor mechanical issues. The ride leaders have at least a basic knowledge of bicycle maintenance.
All we ask is to make sure that your bicycle is suitable for the ride, in good working condition and that you bring at least 1 inner tube.
If you are unsure about any of the above then don't hesitate to drop into Don Valley Cycles where Mojo can advise on bicycle suitability.
During the winter the rides are often changed to off road more suitable for mountain bike and cyclocross bikes.
Under 16’s must have a completed parental consent form and be accompanied by an adult.
Experienced riders lead the group and will provide all the information and advice new and younger riders may need.
The route is posted on the Doncaster Wheelers Facebook page a couple of days prior.
